Lenten preparation as we wear the sign of the cross on our foreheads. Let us make this Lenten season truly memorable by really entering into the spirit of penitential living. I prayerfully invite each member of our parish to take a "Rice Bowl" and use it each day as a reminder of the suffering poor in our world. It is my hope and prayer that each of us will give up one food item each day---maybe a 50 cent candy bar. Put the 50 cents in the "Rice Bowl" and say a prayer for the poor. Even if you do nothing else during Lent but put that 50 cents in your "Rice Bowl" every day and say a daily prayer for the poor, I personally guarantee that you will feel truly rich on Easter morning---way beyond your expectaƟons! There will be a "Rice Bowl" collection basket by the entrance to our Mary chapel each day during Lent. Feel free to make your donation directly to this collection basket--- and then kneel before Mary and say a prayer for the poor. A good deed and a prayer---and how much Mary will enrich your life! Let us, together make a difference by our generosity and by our prayers. All "Rice Bowl" donations will be earmarked for Haiti relief efforts and forwarded to Catholic Relief Services. 50 cents a day and a prayer! It's not so much, but small becomes great when we work and pray together!

Many thanks to those parishioners who give online. Online giving, especially donations made on a recurring basis, provide the surest and most dependable financial support for the parish. If you give online, please advise the parish office to discontinue your envelopes, as they cost the parish valuable funds to maintain. If you give online and would like something to put in the collection basket, there are special envelopes available in the parish office for your use. Also, you can print out an online giving slip that is available here.
The best way to support the parish is to enroll in our online giving program. Through this program you can determine your donation amount, select the funds or funds of your choice to which to donate, determine the method of payment, and set the frequency of payments (one-time or recurring). Many thanks for your prayerful support and generosity.
