Advent has a twofold character: as a season to prepare for Christmas when Christ’s first coming to us is remembered; and as a season when that remembrance directs the mind and heart to await Christ’s Second Coming at the end of time. Advent is thus a period for devout and joyful expectation.
Please see the Christmas Mass and Confession Schedule for 2021.

The Parish Office will be:
Would like to thank those who generously donated blankets to their Blanket Drive the weekend of November 13th & 14th. Over 200 blankets were collected. These blankets were distributed to both the St. Vincent DePaul Pantry in Perth Amboy and to the Life Choices Pregnancy Center in Phillipsburg so they can provide the “Gift of Warmth” to those in need. Thanks again for making this Blanket Drive a great success.
Also, the “Keep Christ in Christmas” fundraiser will be held after all weekend Masses during Advent in the narthex of the church. Oplatki Christmas wafers will also be available for sale.
The Flea Market was a big success! Thank you to our many volunteers and vendors who participated in the Flea Market. We had a steady flow of people throughout the day. In addition to having a good time, the parish made about $1,500. Many thanks to the Knights of Columbus for running the kitchen. Special thanks to Patty Marshall for organizing the event. We look forward to our Craft, Collectibles and Vendor Fair next year!
Please consider volunteering so that we may offer the classes necessary to the children of our parish.
The Giving Tree is up.
Parishioners are asked to take a tag from the Christmas tree, purchase the gift and return BOTH the gift (unwrapped) and the tag to the church the weekend of December 11-12, 2021. Delivery to designated charities will be made on December 13.
We look forward to your continued support. We provide gifts to 11 organizations, including Catholic Charities, Roosevelt Care Center and Great Expectations. For some of their clients, this is the only gift they receive for Christmas.
We are in need of additional volunteers to sort, bag and deliver the gifts on Monday morning, December 13. We will meet downstairs at 9:00 am to sort the gifts. A few more helpers would make the job easier. It’s actually a lot of fun working together. If you can, please join us.
Our Miraculous Medal Novena will continue on Monday, December 6th at 7:00 pm. Please join the Altar Rosary Society and other members of our parish family for this special devotion in honor of Our Blessed Lady under the title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
Wednesday, December 8 is a Holy Day of Obligation.
Vigil Mass: December 7
Mass: December 8
“Hail Mary Full of Grace” Most of the “Hail Mary” is taken directly from the Bible. These words are spoken by the archangel Gabriel. Gabriel tells Mary she has been chosen to be the Mother of the Savior, Jesus Christ. This is a reason for rejoicing, for Christ takes on our humanity from Mary in order to save us. So we greet Mary with faith and thanksgiving.
Any boy or girl from 4th to 12th grade who would like to become an Altar Server, a training will be conducted. Parents are asked to be present in the church at 12:20PM to register their child prior to the start of the training.
The weekend of December 11th / 12th and 18th / 19th the Altar Rosary Society will be selling Christmas ornaments after all Masses in the church narthex .
Knights of Columbus Council 12700 has begun accepting applications for their "Fran & Bert Zupko Catholic High School Tuition Scholarship" program for the 2021-2022 school year.
Completed applications are due by Wednesday, December 15, 2021. For more information, please see the full announcement on the Knight's webpage.
Many thanks to those parishioners who give online. Online giving, especially donations made on a recurring basis, provide the surest and most dependable financial support for the parish. If you give online, please advise the parish office to discontinue your envelopes, as they cost the parish valuable funds to maintain. If you give online and would like something to put in the collection basket, there are special envelopes available in the parish office for your use. Also, you can print out an online giving slip that is available here.
The best way to support the parish is to enroll in our online giving program. Through this program you can determine your donation amount, select the funds or funds of your choice to which to donate, determine the method of payment, and set the frequency of payments (one-time or recurring). Many thanks for your prayerful support and generosity.
