Parish Office Hours
The parish office will be closed on Monday, September 6 in observance of Labor Day. We will again open the parish office on Sunday once a month beginning in September. The parish office will be open on September 12 from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm.
Missalettes
Missalettes covering the period August 1 to November 27 are available in the cry room. You are invited to take one per family. Please take one home and bring it to Mass with you. As a COVID precaution, we ask that you do not leave them in the pews. Please prayerfully consider a donation of $5 to cover the cost.
OLMV Youth Group
The Youth Ministry will hold their first meeting of the year on Sunday, September 12 at 7:00 PM in the church hall. All those in grades 9-12 are invited to attend.
OLMV Young Families Ministry
Invites you to our Lemonade and Snack Hour Sunday, September 12, following the 10:00 AM Mass in the church basement. All families, and those who wish to see our family community grow within OLMV, are welcome!

Prayer Shawl Ministry
All knitters and crotchetiers are warmly invited to join our prayer shawl ministry. Prayer shawls are handcrafted with love and prayers, and given to those in need of God’s comfort. To learn more about this wonderful ministry, please contact the parish office.
Religious Education Updates
Classes are scheduled to be IN PERSON in September. Re-Registrations and registrations for new students are due at this time as classes are filling up!
The Religious Education program is in need of the following volunteers for September, 2021-May, 2022:- Tuesday 4:00-5:10PM: Grade 3 Catechist and Assistant
- Tuesday 5:10-5:40PM: Sacramental Preparation Catechist Needed
- Tuesday 5:30-6:40PM: Grade 5 Catechist and Assistant and a Grade 6 Assistant
Please consider donating your time and talent to guide the children of our parish on their journey of faith. As always, all volunteers must be fingerprinted, background checked and attend a one-time Protecting God’s Children Workshop.
September 11th Annual Candlelight Memorial Service
Twenty years ago, on September 11, our country was hit with a horrific tragedy. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice and too many others are still suffering from its consequences.
Middlesex Borough will never forget and will again hold its Annual Candlelight Memorial Ceremony. Everyone is invited to attend. Together we will pray for peace and freedom.
Where: Victor Crowell Park by the 9/11 Memorial Statue
When: Saturday, September 11, 2021 7:00PM
(rain date Sunday, same time and place).

Volunteers are needed for the Ministry Fair
The fair will take place the weekend of September 18 and 19 after all Masses. Volunteers are needed for set-up, refreshments, decorations, tricky tray, door prizes, greeters and other simple jobs to make this Ministry Fair a success!

Our Lady of Mount Virgin Bereavement Ministry Journey through Grief
If you have recently lost a loved one, please consider attending the meetings of our Journey through Grief support group, offered by the OLMV Bereavement Ministry. It’s mission is to provide ways to cope with the various feelings that are experienced following the loss of a loved one. It provides a peaceful and loving environment at which you can learn that you are not alone on your journey through grief.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday, September 9. The fall session—all Thursdays—will meet weekly from 1:30-3:00 PM at the Parish Center, across the street from our church, 450 Drake Ave.

Leaders of the Bereavement Ministry will be available in the church narthex after all Masses on Sat., Aug. 28, and Sun., Aug. 29, to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming bereavement group meetings that are scheduled to begin on September 9. They will be available to answer your questions and to accept completed registration forms.
Altar Rosary Bake Sale
The Altar Rosary Society will be holding a bake sale after all Masses the weekend of September 4th and 5th in the narthex of the church.
Summer Mass and Giving
Summer is a great time to get away. Many of us are especially looking forward to getting away this year, having had our travel plans over the last year interrupted by the pandemic. Even when we are away, and maybe even especially when we are away, we need to keep God in our plans. When planning your vacation itinerary, please consult masstimes.org to find a Catholic Church near you. And while it is important to financially support the Catholic churches at our vacation destinations, it is also important to keep your home parish in mind.
The best way to support the parish is to enroll in our online giving program. Through this program you can determine your donation amount, select the funds or funds of your choice to which to donate, determine the method of payment, and set the frequency of payments (one-time or recurring).
